Under a guaranteed cost per occupied room or cost per pound agreement, hotels delegate the responsibility of on-site operations to a specialist. Since this is our core competency and passion, our team of experts are able to achieve superior results that are as significant as the list of properties below.
How does it work? A hotel or resort provides us with space, equipment and access to utilities. We provide everything else: professional management and trained employees; laundry and drycleaning supplies; utilities usage; safety; operating and control systems; capital investment for equipment and linen; equipment repair and maintenance; and energy conservation.
Colonial Williamsburg, Williamsburg, Virginia
Colonial Williamsburg, established in 1806, is the world’s largest living history museum. Located on 45 acres of dense woodlands in Williamsburg, Virginia, Colonial Williamsburg operates four hotels (with over 865 rooms), seventeen restaurants, two golf courses, a spa, a medical clinic and four museums. VKCo assumed management of the Colonial Williamsburg laundry and drycleaning facility in 1995 and in 2000 entered into a long-term agreement to lease the facility and operate it to serve the host and other area hotel properties. Our agreement with Colonial Williamsburg was recently renewed through 2021.
JW Marriott Grande Lakes, Orlando, Florida
The JW Marriott Grande Lakes is a 988-room luxury resort property located on 500 acres of lush, tropical landscape in Orlando, Florida. The property operates ten restaurants, has over 100,000 square feet of event space and a championship Greg Norman-designed golf course. All of the resort’s linen and uniform requirements are processed in its 22,000 square foot state-of-the-art laundry and dry cleaning facilities. In addition, the laundry processes all linens and uniforms for the adjacent Ritz-Carlton Grande Lakes Resort which includes 584 guest rooms, eleven food & beverage establishments, a 40,000 square foot spa and recreation facilities.
Ritz-Carlton South Beach, Miami, Florida
The Ritz-Carlton South Beach Hotel, a 375-room property located on the beachfront in Miami Beach, Florida, is one the “flagship properties” of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company. The resort features a 16,000 square foot spa, two restaurants, and 20,000 square feet of meeting and conference facilities. VKCo entered into a long-term agreement to operate the laundry and drycleaning facility to process over 2.9 million pounds/year of linen, uniforms, and guest valet.
Ritz-Carlton Charlotte, Charlotte, North Carolina
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Charlotte opened in October 2009. The 148-room, 18-story hotel is Charlotte’s first designed and constructed to achieve a LEED rating. VKCo was selected by Ritz-Carlton to operate the laundry and drycleaning facility under a long-term agreement. The facility will use environmentally-friendly chemicals and washing formulae, and will be operated during off-peak hours to conserve energy and minimize utility expenses.
Ritz-Carlton Westchester, White Plains, New York
The Ritz-Carlton Westchester Hotel opened in April of 2008. The hotel features 146-rooms, including 27 executive suites, two award-winning restaurants, a luxury spa, 10,000 square feet of meeting and special event space, and a fitness center. Prior to its opening, VKCo entered into a long-term agreement with the hotel to operate the laundry and drycleaning facilities.
Westin Kierland Resort, Scottsdale, Arizona
In the heart of “new” Scottsdale, the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa provides contemporary amenities and design while helping its guest to experience the Essence of Arizona. The resort includes 732 guest rooms and suites with the renowned “Heavenly Bed”. The resort features 52,000 square feet of ballrooms; Agave-the Arizona Spa with 20 treatment rooms; 10 unique dining venues; 3-18 hole golf courses; 2 pools with cabanas; and a 24-hour fitness studio. VKCo was retained to operate the Resort’s laundry facility in 2016 and to participate in the “Be Greener” program by conserving energy and water.
Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain, Marana, Arizona
The Ritz-Carlton Dove Mountain opened in December 2009. The 250-room hotel is Tucson’s newest luxury resort. It features a destination spa, world class hiking, Jack Nicklaus Golf, recreation facilities, and indoor and outdoor dining outlets. VKCo was selected by Ritz-Carlton to operate the laundry and drycleaning facility under a long-term agreement.
Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Dallas, Texas
The Ritz-Carlton Dallas operates 218 rooms and is located in the fashionable Uptown neighborhood along historic McKinney Avenue, near the city’s central business district. The hotel features the signature “Fearing’s” restaurant, a 12,000-square-foot Spa and Salon, and Dallas’ largest luxury ballroom with a dedicated banquet drive for seamless events and meetings. VKCo entered into an Agreement with the hotel to operate its laundry and drycleaning facilities in 2011.
JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, Palm Desert, California
The JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa is perfectly placed in Palm Desert. It offers a spectacular backdrop for rejuvenation. In addition to 884 spacious, exquisitely appointed guest rooms and suites the resort features a wide range of top-quality amenities, including five separate pools, two creatively designed championship golf courses, a world-class signature spa, boat tours of our picturesque waterways, sensational dining at our resort’s six signature restaurants, and more than 200,000 square feet of state-of-the-art event space. VKCo was retained to operate the Resort’s laundry in 2016. In addition to processing the Resort’s linen workload, we are processing linen from 4 area hotels.
Ritz-Carlton Denver Hotel, Denver, Colorado
The Ritz-Carlton Denver opened in 2008. This luxury downtown hotel features 202 rooms and suites, Elway’s signature steak house, a spa, 13,000 square feet of meeting space, and a 6,200 square foot ballroom. The Hotel’s senior leaders retained VKCo to operate the laundry and drycleaning facility in 2013.
Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, Manalapan, Florida
After the Ritz-Carlton Palm Beach was rebranded the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, ownership and senior leader elected to continue contracting with VKCo to operate the laundry and valet departments. Eau Palm is a “Five Diamond Resort”, which feature 270 spacious rooms and suites; a 42,000 square foot spa; 3,000 oceanfront beaches, pools and cabanas; the Temple Orange Mediterranean Bistro, Angle, and Breeze restaurants; and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Dorado, Puerto Rico
Once a plantation, Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is now a private estate resort in Puerto Rico inspired by the legacy and memorable vacation experiences of its original developer, Laurance S. Rockefeller. The Resort offers an array of amenities and facilities including three spectacular 18-hole golf courses, the Beach Club featuring adult and family pools, and the historic Rockefeller Nature Trail, Spa Botánico ―A five-acre natural haven designed to inspire well-being and provide pure relaxation, State-of-the-art Fitness & Wellness Center is a spacious and fully equipped to meet all your fitness needs, and Mi Casa, signature restaurant by renowned chef José Andrés. VKCo was retained in May 2015 to operate the Resort’s laundry and drycleaning facility.
Swissotel, Chicago, Illinois
Swissotel Chicago, designed by the renowned Chicago architect Harry Weese, is an award winning, four-diamond, all-glass luxury hotel. Ideally situated in the confluence of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan and just a few steps from exclusive shopping on the Magnificent Mile in Downtown Chicago. Swissotel offers 661 over-sized luxurious rooms and suites. The hotel features 2 dining venues – Geneva and The Palm; 65,000 square feet of meeting event space; and Penthouse Fitness Center and Pool. VKCo was retaining in 2016 to operate the hotel’s on-premise laundry.
Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage Resort, Rancho Mirage, California
The Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage is one of the most esteemed luxury resorts in Palm Springs, California. This exceptional hotel in Rancho Mirage offers guests a true luxury desert experience, while providing convenient access to Palm Springs shopping, dining, recreation and sightseeing. The State Fare Bar + Kitchen signature restaurant features an exhibition kitchen and multiple private dining areas, the Edge Steakhouse features an upscale dining experience with unparalleled views of the valley, 16,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting room space, and a luxurious full service spa. VKCo was retained to provide linen, uniform, and guest valet processing services when the hotel opened in 2014.
